Rekonstruktion Dance Troupe (REKO), Incorporated was founded on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 by Marquis Richardson, along with two Co-founders, Dominique Rodman (R.I.P), and Robert Flynt on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University with nine charter members from the group’s former name “Starr Statuz”. The 2nd Chapter of Rekonstruktion Dance Troupe, located in Tallahassee Florida, was established on December 11, 2012 and is under the direction of Timothy Griffin. The 3rd chapter of Rekonstruktion, located in Orlando Florida, was founded on June 11, 2019 and is under the direction of De’Nasia Grayson. The 4th Chapter Of Rekonstruktion Located in Miami Fl, was founded on February 16th, 2024 under the direction of Alan C. Exilhomme.  The 5th Chapter of Rekonstruktion is located in Jacksonville Florida, was founded on July 29th, 2026 under the direction of Dorian L. Hooks.

Purpose

The purpose of Rekonstruktion Dance troupe is to strive to combine values and principles which are family, loyalty, and dance in the development of dancers with the goal of building confident and successful individuals and responsible people of strong character.

It helps guide branding, expansion, structure, accountability, and unity across all cities while preserving the legacy and culture of Rekonstruktion Dance Troupe Inc.
